Entries

Entries are invited from archers affiliated to GNAS or another FITA Member Association. Entries will be accepted on a first received, first entered basis.

The closing date is 21st February, 2010. There will be no refunds for withdrawals after this date.

Entries will be accepted after 21st February if spaces are available.  When the target lists are full, a waiting list will operate. Note that the 2009 Championships were full some five weeks before the shoot and, at one point, there were 25 people on the waiting list. Post your entry form as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Entries for double rounds will be accepted if there are sufficient spaces. Only the first round, however, is eligible for a record claim.

Send your entries to: Indoor 2010, 15 Holton Hill, Woodingdean, Brighton, East Sussex, BN2 6RQ.

Remember to: enclose a cheque (payable to SCAA) in payment of your entry fee and enclose two large SAEs for receipt of target lists and results if you don’t have an e-mail address.

The K2

Everyone who took part in the 2009 Indoor Championships will agree that the K2 is a really cracking venue, one of the best available to archers in the Southern Counties region, and we’re sure that you will enjoy shooting there. It is also easily accessible from both the A23 and M23, so the travelling distance and time for every archer within the SCAS region is reasonable.

The venue’s facilities, including the cafeteria, will be open all day. The main hall is spacious, warm and well lit, making it the ideal venue for indoor archery. It can accommodate 32 target butts – that’s 128 archers – in each session, so this will again be a big and memorable event.

Don’t miss out on what will be an excellent conclusion to this year’s indoor season: download your entry form and post it to the Tournament Organiser today.

Record status: points to note

This competition is open to individuals and clubs affiliated to GNAS or another FITA Member Association.

Adherence to the GNAS dress code (see Rule 307) is mandatory. There will be no exceptions.

Please note that your footwear must be suitable for indoor archery, i.e. it should have flat soles and must not mark or otherwise damage the hall floor. This applies to both archers and spectators.

Any archer asked to provide a sample for drug testing must comply. A refusal will be treated as a positive result. A parent or guardian must sign a junior’s entry form to signify their consent to their child being tested. They should also explain the implications of drug testing to their child.

If you have any questions or require further information, e-mail the tournament organiser.

Target lists and results

Target lists, results and further information will be published on the Sussex Archery website.

2010 Sussex CAA Indoor Team Championships

The 2010 Sussex Indoor Team Championships will take place at the K2 after the SCAS and SCAA Championships. This competition is open to clubs from outside Sussex.

In 2008, the first year of the competition, Canterbury Archers of Kent and Mole Valley Bowmen of Surrey finished second and third respectively in a field of 19 teams. 2009 saw the entry grow to 24 teams, with Mole Valley A emerging as winners on tie break ahead of Abbey Bowmen from Hertfordshire on tie break. Dare we say it, but the tournament has proved to be very enjoyable for everyone who has taken part over the last two years and we hope to see more clubs from outside Sussex at the 2010 Championships.

Further details and entry forms will be published soon, so please add this page to your favourites and check for updates in a few days.
