Two Sussex Archers, Gary Cole & Bryony Pitman were part of the GB Team competing in the World Championships at Val d’Isere,  14th – 19th August 2012.
Bryony had a very successful week, first smashing the British Junior Ladies Recurve Marked, Unmarked and Combined records, and then, together with Daisy Clark and Evie Rawling, beating Italy to win the Gold Medal for the GB Junior Ladies Team.
Bryony, who was second youngest in Ladies competition, finished the individual event in Fifth Place, only missing the final shoot-off by two points. Gary, a frequent GB Team member, Current English, and former British, Champion, didn’t manage to get into the final 16 on this occasion.

The shoot will be hosted by Crawley Archery Club as part of the Crawley Autumn Field weekend, and will be a 24 Target Marked Distance FITA Arrowhead Round. Marked Distances means the shoot will be friendly to all archers, not just the Field specialists – so why not give it a go?
