Field Championships – Another Wet One

2012CrawleyFieldPostHeaderAfter much too long a break Sussex has Field Champions again. Crawley Archers laid on a great course for their Autumn Arrowhead Shoot, and the Saturday Unmarked Round was a fine sunny day – in fact the only problem for the competitors was the sun shining in their eyes on some of the targets. But something different was building up for the County Championships Day, and after a damp beginning the day turned wetter and wetter until was as bad as the morning of the Target Championships, with paths turning into running streams and water sheeting off the hillside. But, as at the Target Champs, most people kept on to the end.
A good number of  Sussex field archers competed on both days and you can see some of them in action on this gallery page
