SCAS & SUSSEX INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS ENTRY
There will be 3 Sessions. The Southern Counties and Sussex Individual Championship Events will be decided on a Single Portsmouth Round shot in either of the first two sessions. SCAS Trophies will be given to the top County Teams made up of their highest scoring archers in the Recurve, Longbow and Compound styles. The Sussex County AA will also give Open Individual Double Round awards for archers shooting both these sessions.
The third session will be the Open Team Event, for nominated teams of four shooting a FITA 18 round. Each team shoots on the same target boss. Every team must include a Lady or a Junior, and up to two Compound bows may be entered.
GNAS Rules permit shooting the FITA18 Round after shooting a single or double Portsmouth, and also allow everyone to shoot sighters at the start of the Team Shoot, because the FITA18 is being shot on what is technically a different range. So shooting in the SCAS/SCAA Championships doesn’t exclude you from shooting the Team Shoot too.
Entry forms available on the Sussex County and Southern Counties websites from November 2010. (see link near top of this page)
Participants in the 2009 and 2010 Indoor Championships found that the K2 is one of the best indoor venues available to archers in the Southern Counties region, and we’re sure that you will enjoy shooting there. It is also easily accessible from both the A23 and M23, and only 15 miles from the M25, so the travelling distance and time for every archer within the SCAS region is reasonable.
The venue’s facilities, including the cafeteria, will be open all day. The main hall is spacious, warm and well lit, making it the ideal venue for indoor archery. There is a gallery for spectators. It can accommodate 33 target butts – that’s 132 archers – in each session, so this will again be a big and memorable event.
Don’t miss out on what will be an excellent conclusion to this year’s indoor season
