Peter Hammond success at BBA National Champs

Saturday, April 11th, 2009

Peter Hammond returned from the British Blind Archery national championships
winning his section, shooting a PB and setting a new national record.

Congratulations!

Peter is the current national indoor and outdoor totally blind
champion. He holds a number of St Dunstan’s club records and competes
alongside sighted archers in competitions. Due to physical problems he
shoots from a seated position and uses a wheelchair for mobility.  He
shoots a Genesis bow and uses a release aid. He has a tactile sight for
height adjustment and assembles his own equipment. He is very dedicated
to his sport and encourages other visually impaired archers to improve
their skills.
