Two outstanding results by Sussex Archers last weekend at the National Indoor Championships meeting:

Bryony Pitman shared the Ladies Recurve National Junior Championship Trophy with Philippa Taylor, making a huge score of 571, as well as coming 17th equal in the Senior Championships. Three girls scored 571, but it was the two under-16-year-olds who came out ahead of the under-18 group winner on golds.

And Tim Nash was the Gents Compound Silver Medallist in the Senior National Championships after losing 4-6 to Adam Ravenscroft in the Final Round shoot-out for the Gold.

Gavin Sutherland was 5th overall on score and was part of the England Recurve Team that won the Home Nations Event, and Tim Nash was part of the equally successful England Compound Team.  Jamie Cole came 4th in his age group in the junior Gents Compound division and 48th in the Senior event.

Other Sussex archers at the Championships Weekend included Keira Henderson (5th in Age Group), Philip Tucknott (8th in the Junior and 40th in the Senior), and Cameron Temple (18th in Age Group)
