Waterworld – Crawley Championships

Monday, July 9th, 2012

The weather was so horrible on the Sussex Championship Day, and the field so water-logged mid-morning  that the judge called the archers to vote on whether to carry on after only two dozen shots. The weather then seemed to get even worse, but by the time four dozen had been shot it had improved enough to take the decision to continue to Lunch Time. The afternoon was much better, and in spite of many retirements the shoot was completed in sunshine, with some impressive final scores, a six-gold-end and six Rose Claims.
