The Southern Counties and Sussex Championships will both be decided on a Single Portsmouth Round shot in either of the first two sessions. The first round shot by each archer will be used to determine the results.
As well as the Individual Trophies, SCAS Trophies will be given to the top County Teams made up of their highest scoring archers in each of the Recurve, Longbow and Compound styles. There is no requirement to include both Genders in a team, and the number of archers in the teams will be 3 for Recurve teams, 2 for Longbow teams, and 2 for Compound teams.
The Sussex Individual Championships will be open to all members of the Sussex County AA, and awards will also be given to the top Sussex club teams.
The Sussex County AA will give Open Individual Double Round winners awards for archers shooting both these sessions.
The third session will be the Open Team Competition. Teams of four archers will shoot a WA18 round, each team together on the same butt. Bows of any style may be used so long as there aren’t more than 2 compounds; and there must be at least one Lady or Junior in every team. There is no requirement for team members to belong to a single club or county or indeed country. There is a trophy on offer for the highest scoring all-Junior Team
Note: GNAS Rules of Shooting allow archers to shoot a double Portsmouth provided they shoot only six sighters; and as the WA 18 Round is shot on a different Range, any archer may shoot the third session, and shoot six sighters even if they have shot in one or both of the previous sessions.
